Sheen coming to Radio City

Charlie Sheen is bringing his live show to five more venues, including Radio City Music Hall, The Associated Press reports. Sheen is adding five dates to his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour. Tickets go on sale tomorrow for performances in Ohio, Connecticut, Boston and April 8 at Radio City. The actor's shows in Detroit and Chicago on April 2 and 3 sold out quickly. Sheen was fired last week from CBS' show "Two and a Half Men."

Aflac comedian tweets apology

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried took to Twitter Tuesday to make a public apology after mocking the victims of the tsunami in Japan, TMZ.com reports. "I meant no disrespect and my thoughts are with the victims and their families." In a separate tweet, he wrote, "I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my attempt at humor." No word on whether he would be rehired by Aflac, for whom Gottfried voiced its iconic duck in the insurance company's commercials.

Hanks to star in Somali pirate flick

Tom Hanks will star as high-seas hero Capt. Richard Phillips in an upcoming film about the American ship captured by Somali pirates, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project centers on the events surrounding the vessel Maersk Alabama, which was hijacked by Somali pirates in 2009. Phillips, in order to save his crew, surrendered himself to the pirates and the subsequent standoff -- which commanded worldwide attention -- tested the strength of Phillips and his crew as well as the resolve of the Navy commanders and President Barack Obama to bring the captain home alive.
