David Arquette's estranged wife of 11 years, "Cougar Town" and "Friends" star Courteney Cox, said Monday that she supports Arquette's decision over the weekend to enter a rehab program for alcohol issues and depression.
"I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life," Cox, 46, told People magazine. "I love and support him."
Arquette's publicist has confirmed that the "Scream" actor, 39, had entered treatment, but disclosed no specifics.
RadarOnline.com reported early Monday that a representative for Arquette told the site he had checked into the Betty Ford Center, a favored facility for Los Angeles celebrities, but other media reports later in the day called that into question.
Cox and Arquette, who has talked candidly about his drinking problems, have a daughter, Coco, 6.
