Dean McDermott says guilt after being unfaithful to wife Tori Spelling nearly drove him to suicide
Reality-TV star Dean McDermott says guilt over being unfaithful to his wife, Tori Spelling, almost led him to suicide. "I was driving around in my truck with a loaded 9 mm," he told "Access Hollywood" Wednesday. "I was put on a 5150 at the UCLA psych ward," he continued, referring to a California law allowing a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold. But, McDermott, 47, added, his and Spelling's son Liam "had a performance and I didn't want to miss that performance . . . I had plans that night to do it [end my life]." McDermott has opted to leave the couple's Lifetime reality show "True Tori."
