Dina Lohan pleads guilty to DWI, speeding

The mother of actress Lindsay Lohan pleaded guilty to aggravated drunken driving in a Hempstead court Tuesday, later expressing relief the case was almost over.
"I'll never be back here again. You can quote me on that one," Dina Lohan, 51, of Merrick, said before leaving in a silver Rolls-Royce.
Nassau District Court Judge Andrew Engel told Lohan she should do 100 hours of community service before her June 3 sentencing.
He said he plans to give her a conditional discharge, a year in which she'll have to follow sentence terms and not get rearrested.
He'll also revoke Lohan's driver's license for a year, send her to driver education classes, and require her to use alcohol ignition interlock devices in vehicles she owns or drives. Authorities dropped a second DWI charge, and Lohan also pleaded guilty to speeding.
State Police said they arrested Lohan in September after she drove a white BMW at 77 mph in a 55-mph zone on the Northern State Parkway with a blood-alcohol content of .20 percent.
Lohan's lawyer, Mark Heller, said she was pleased by the plea deal.
"On this, the first day of Passover, an offer has been made to Dina Lohan that is too good to pass over -- no jail, no probation and the opportunity to resume her driving," he said.
The district attorney's office didn't comment.
