Elin Nordegren talks Tiger Woods in 19-hour People magazine interviews
Elin Nordegren broke her silence in a big way two days after her divorce from Tiger Woods, saying she's "been through hell" since learning about his infidelities -- but is now a more confident person.
People magazine said it spent 19 hours over four visits interviewing Nordegren in her Windermere, Fla., home, the site of the infamous car crash last November that resulted in revelations of Woods' infidelity and the unraveling of their marriage.
She tells the magazine that she never hit Woods, calling
speculation that she hit him with a golf club “truly ridiculous.”
Nordegren says she and Woods tried for months to reconcile the relationship. In the end, she says a marriage “without trust or love” wasn’t good for anyone.
"I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children," Nordegren told People.
Nordegren is currently taking psychology classes in hopes of earning a college degree, according to People. While married, Woods and Nordegren had two children, their daughter, Sam, 3, and 18-month-old Charlie.
"My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation," Nordegren said. "I am going to keep taking classes, but my main focus is to try to give myself time to heal," she said.
Nordegren said this would be her last interview about her troubled relationship with Woods.
