"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria Parker has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker. The petition, signed and dated Tuesday and submitted to Los Angeles County Superior Court Wednesday, cites "irreconcilable differences."
Longoria Parker, 35, is "devastated" but "strong" in the wake of her split with Parker, 28, according to her longtime best friend and "Extra" host, Mario Lopez. She told Lopez that she found "hundreds of text messages" from the wife of one of his NBA teammates and there are rumors of more women whom he's been keeping in touch with via Facebook. TMZ and Sports Illustrated both identified the woman as Erin Barry, estranged wife of Brent Barry, who played for the Spurs from 2004 to 2008.
The filing, which The Associated Press and TMZ.com each obtained, specifies that the couple signed a prenuptial agreement. The couple, who have no children, married July 7, 2007.
Longoria Parker, who will restore her name to Eva Jacqueline Longoria, is seeking spousal support.
This is her second divorce, following her split from former "General Hospital" star Tyler Christopher, her husband of two years, in 2004.
"Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him," a friend of Longoria Parker's told Us.
Longoria Parker has canceled her scheduled appearance at this Sunday's American Music Awards.
A rep for Longoria Parker declined requests for comment. A Parker rep did not respond.
