Jessica Hahn calls out Barbara Walters

Massapequa-born Jessica Hahn, who had her 15 minutes of fame in the 1980s after a sexual encounter with televangelist Jim Bakker, Tuesday had another 15 minutes on "The View," where she and Barbara Walters had a verbal encounter.

Hahn, 51, said nothing when Walters introduced her as having had "the affair with Jim Bakker," but she became agitated when co-host Sherri Shepherd used the same term. Hahn then vented in Walters' direction.

"Now let me get this straight," the former church secretary said, stammering. "This wasn't an affair. This was, unlike - I don't want to be cruel or anything - but in your book 'Audition,' you had an affair with a senator and . . . "

Hahn was referring to an affair Walters had with the married Sen. Edward Brooke in the 1970s, which the talk-show host described in her 2008 memoir, "Audition."

Walters interrupted, to laughter and applause, "This is about you, my dear. This is not about me, OK?"

Hahn dropped the subject as the other co-hosts - Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck - together with Shepherd began cross-talking.

In the years after her brush with fame, Hahn posed for Playboy and had some minor acting roles. She spent 16 years living with "Married . . . with Children" co-creator Ron Leavitt, who died in 2008.

Afterward, she said, "I went into a depression so badly I did not get out of bed for three years" before taking up with Leavitt's best friend and her longtime acquaintance, actor-stuntman Frank Lloyd.
