Justin Bieber pays more than $80,000 to neighbor in egging case

Pop star Justin Bieber has paid $80,900 in restitution to a neighbor whose home he egged in January, and is completing the community service agreed to in a plea bargain in the case.
The Los Angeles Times said Monday that Bieber, 20, had made the payment, which included $20,000 in home-restoration costs, to Web mogul Jeff Schwartz, his then-neighbor in Calabasas, California. Bieber has moved away, selling his mansion to Khloé Kardashian in March.
Bieber's attorney, Shawn Holley, told a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge Monday in a probation-update hearing that she expects Bieber to have completed the mandated community service and 12 anger-management classes by Feb. 10.
Bieber pleaded no contest in July to a criminal misdemeanor vandalism charge, avoiding a felony charge. During the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigation into the egging incident, a friend of the star's, Xavier Smith aka Lil Za, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession. He later pleaded no contest to that charge and to vandalizing a sheriff's department phone, the L.A. Times said.
