Kardashian, sister fly away, Tweet away

A day after announcing she has filed for divorce from her husband of 72 days, Kim Kardashian was on her way to Australia, where she's scheduled to launch her purse line in Sydney Wednesday.

The sudden end of her much-publicized marriage to the New Jersey Nets' Kris Humphries has left the reality star's fans and others questioning whether the romance and wedding were an elaborate publicity stunt. Others speculated some wedding guests may want their gifts returned.

Family friend Kathie Lee Gifford -- who said on NBC's "Today" Tuesday that her gift was a charitable donation in the couple's name -- revealed that one of Kardashian's own sisters, the outspoken Khloé, told Gifford at the wedding reception, "I give it six ---- months."

Regardless, Khloé Kardashian yesterday responded to similar Twitter posts about her sister, writing, "Reading some these comments r so hurtful. Im grateful 4our fans who understand & r being respectful. Hate is disgusting. Love is everything. Thank God for family. We are strong and we will only become closer!"

Khloé Kardashian and husband Lamar Odom accompanied Kim Kardashian on the Australia flight, said People magazine. E! Online noted Kim Kardashian wore neither her wedding nor her engagement ring.

Gene Grabowski of Levick Strategic Communications told Fox News that, ironically, he believes her quick divorce actually "enhances her brand because she's all about being outrageous and over the top. The divorce keeps Kim in the public eye and guarantees her another week of cover stories. Kim isn't taken seriously by anyone. Her life . . . is a curiosity that gives everyday people something shocking to talk about at work, at parties or at the hairdresser."
