Kate Middleton cancels solo visit to Malta

Pregnant Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, canceled her first official solo overseas visit due to morning sickness, Kensington Palace announced Thursday.
"The Duchess of Cambridge will no longer visit Malta this weekend," it said in a statement, explaining she "continues to suffer from the effects of Hyperemesis Gravidarum."
Her husband, Prince William, will go instead to the 50th anniversary commemoration of the Mediterranean archipelago's independence. Middleton and William, both 32, already are parents to the year-old Prince George.
