Kim Kardashian's younger sister Khloé, avoiding a direct answer to Ellen DeGeneres' question whether Kim and singer Kanye West are "really a couple," said her family adores West and that he and Kim are a great fit.
"Honestly, we've known Kanye forever," Kardashian, 27, said on Wednesday's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." "So, I love Kanye. I think they're cute together," she told the talk-show host. "But, honey, I don't know, you gotta get her on the show and ask her. You've got to get them both on the show and ask them together!"
Kardashian added that her sister and West are "good friends; they're compatible. And I think friendships [are] where good relationships stem from."
She softened her stance, enunciated often on the E! reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," about New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, whose much-hyped marriage to Kim ended after 72 days when the new bride filed for divorce. "Kris as a person is a good person," Kardashian said. "I just didn't think [he] and Kim were compatible. . . . I like Kris as a person -- I just did not like them together."
She sparked some audience laughter when she riffed, "Honestly, I don't know why this divorce [is taking] so long. I feel like they've been getting divorced longer than they've been married!"
As for her husband, NBA player Lamar Odom -- who is officially listed as inactive with the Dallas Mavericks through the end of the season, which allows the team to then trade him -- she said she's sad that "with the season almost over that we're not able to finish the season with the Mavericks. It's been such an amazing organization to be a part of, and to move to Dallas was -- even though it was short -- it was fun. Except for those tornadoes" that hit the city last week.
