Did reality-TV star Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker marry over the weekend?
People magazine said Monday that an anonymous source had confirmed a report initially at TMZ.com that the couple, who had playfully fake-married at a Las Vegas chapel last month, had wed for real in Santa Barbara, California, on Sunday. TMZ that day posted a photo of Kardashian, 43, wearing a thigh-length wedding dress with spaghetti straps and a white veil, and Barker, 46, in a black suit, standing with others before a Cadillac convertible bearing a "Just Married" sign at "what appears to be the downtown courthouse there on Anacapa [Street]."
In an update, TMZ said two of the people in that photo were Barker's father and Kardashian's grandmother. This would be Randy Barker, 80, and Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon, 87, Kardashian's maternal grandmother through mom Kris Jenner. Paternal grandmother Helen Kardashian died in 2008.
Kris Jenner, 66, had told People on May 9 that she had been "sworn to secrecy" regarding wedding plans, adding, "If I say one thing about a wedding, I am gonna be in so much trouble!"
Neither Barker nor Kardashian, part of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and "The Kardashians” reality-TV clan, has commented publicly on the reports, although on Saturday Barker tweeted, "Trouble is inevitable misery is optional."
In the early morning hours of April 4, shortly after this year's Grammy Awards ceremony, the couple had a wedding ceremony at a Las Vegas chapel, complete with an Elvis Presley impersonator. The couple did not obtain a local wedding license, so the ceremony was not legally binding.
Barker and Kardashian became engaged last year.
Kardashian has three children with her former partner, Eastport-born Scott Disick: sons Mason, 12, and Reign, 6, and daughter Penelope, 9. Barker has daughter Alabama, 16, and son Landon, 18, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, Miss USA 1995 and Playboy magazine's December 2001 Playmate. In 2005, the Barker family starred in the single-season MTV reality show "Meet the Barkers."
