Actress Lindsay Lohan, who has been known for her legal travails, is now the face of the attorney listings service Lawyer.com.

“When Lawyer.com first reached out to me, I was confused and a little scared because I thought I was in trouble,” Lohan, 31, says with a chuckle in an introductory video on the website, against an office backdrop as sprightly music plays. “But when they asked me to be their spokesperson, I was intrigued. After meeting with the team, I realized Lawyer.com is just about helping people. From getting a DUI — let’s not pretend like I didn’t get one. Or two. Or three. Or some others,” she says in a ruefully comic aside.

She goes on to tout the site, which matches prospective clients with attorneys.

The “Mean Girls” star, originally from Cold Spring Harbor and Merrick, appears on three other videos on the website. In the 28-second “Find a Lawyer with Lindsay Lohan,” she pokes fun at herself, saying, “Finding a lawyer’s a real pain. Trust me.” In a video titled “Team Building with Lindsay,” we see her and Lawyer.com people cavort in dune buggies across rolling hills of sand, followed by a cellphone video in a bus returning from the desert. Lohan tells the camera, “See how happy we are in Dubai?,” where she now lives.

A final video, “Backstage with Lindsay Lohan,” is a blooper reel and behind-the-scenes look at the studio shoot.

“So excited to be a part of the Lawyer.com team!” Lohan posted on Instagram Tuesday.

A page on the site devoted to Lohan explains she will be the “exclusive spokesperson” for a year and that each month she will meet and brainstorm with Lawyer.com management on new strategies to raise Lawyer.com’s awareness including producing compelling content, connecting to media leaders, and launching fun videos and commentaries to her 20 million social followers. It additionally reveals that “her compensation includes a substantial option ownership position in the company.”

In 2015, Lohan shot a TV commercial for Esurance, a division of Allstate that specializes in car insurance, self-satirizing her series of auto accidents and traffic incidents over the past decade.
