Mark Salling of ‘Glee’ pleads guilty to child porn possession
Former “Glee” star Mark Salling faces 4 to 7 years in prison after pleading guilty Saturday to possession of child pornography.
Court documents cited Wednesday by TheBlast.com show Salling, 35, who played Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Fox’s high-school musical series, must also register as a sex offender, pay a minimum of $50,000 to each victim seeking restitution, be under supervised release for 20 years following his imprisonment, and must stay at least 100 feet from schoolyards, parks, public swimming pools, playgrounds and other specified sites where children gather.
Salling was arrested Dec. 29, 2015, at his home in Los Angeles’ Sunland neighborhood and released the same day on $20,000 bail. Correspondent Billy Jensen of syndicated TV series “Crime Watch Daily,” which first reported the arrest, told the CBS-owned news-radio station KNX-AM at the time that police reportedly acted on a tip from a friend or “possibly a girlfriend of his.”
The actor-musician has not appeared on-screen since “Glee” in 2015. His other credits include the direct-to-video films “Children of the Corn: The Gathering” (1996) and “The Graveyard” (2006) and the TV-movie “Rocky Road” (2014).
