Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka married in Italy

TV and Broadway star Neil Patrick Harris and his fiance David Burtka, engaged since the mid-2000s, have finally wed.
"Guess what? David Burtka and I got married over the weekend," Harris, 41, tweeted Monday. "In Italy. Yup, we put the 'n' and 'd' in 'husband,' " he added.
Harris' representative said in a statement, "We happily confirm that Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka were married in Italy in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their close friends and family." Burtka, 39, is a chef and actor.
E! News said both grooms wore custom Tom Ford tuxedos to the ceremony, which was officiated by Pam Fryman, a producer-director of Harris' long-running, recently concluded CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother." Music legend Elton John performed at the reception, E! added.
People magazine said that the couple's fraternal twins, 3-year-old Harper Grace and Gideon Scott, born via surrogate in October 2010, took part in the celebration.
Harris and Burtka had belatedly announced their engagement in June 2011.
