Sandra Bullock will make her first post-marital-crisis appearance next month when she attends the MTV Movie Awards on June 6 in Universal City, Calif., People magazine reports.

The actress was named recipient of the MTV Generation Award "for her riveting and diverse contributions to the film industry," and her representative confirmed that "she will be attending" the ceremony, but will not do any interviews.

Bullock hasn't attended any public events since winning her best actress Oscar in March following reports that her husband, Jesse James, cheated on her. She filed for divorce in April. Since her marriage crisis began, Bullock has remained in seclusion while raising her new son, Louis.

Bullock joins Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Spike Lee, Mike Myers and Adam Sandler, who also have been honored with the award.

Meanwhile, "Nightline's" interview with James on Tuesday posted its highest total viewership since the ABC News program's relaunch in 2005.
