Pint-sized "Jersey Shore" trouble-magnet Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi could face a lawsuit from the polizia, specifically, from the two Florence, Italy, officers taken to the emergency room and treated for whiplash, cuts and bruises Monday after she drove into their patrol car, Us Weekly reports.
Although no criminal charges have been filed, Polizzi's license was revoked under an Italian law making that automatic for drivers who injure fellow motorists, Us magazine said Tuesday.
The officers, a man and a woman, weren't badly hurt, a Florence police spokesman said. "It was nothing serious and they have been released, but they will not be back at work for a week," he told the magazine, which said the two have 90 days to decide if they will seek a civil lawsuit.
Polizzi, 23, was widely photographed Tuesday wearing a neck brace but then removing it and holding it over her head and laughing as she walked down a street.
Meanwhile, Andre Dimino, head of the Connecticut-based Italian-American service organization Unico National, told RadarOnline.com Tuesday that the self-proclaimed "guidette" is "the lowest of the low and will do anything for attention, even hitting a police car. . . . For MTV to go and film in Italy was totally ill-conceived, and this latest incident has just added insult to injury as far as I'm concerned."
The network is shooting part of season four in Italy, where according to Us, members of the cast have accumulated more than 300 euro in traffic fines -- about $430 -- in the three weeks they've been there.
