The pop star did not ring in her birthday on Saturday as a carefree, twerking 21-year-old, but instead spent it "extremely upset" and "shaken up" by a home burglary, Us Weekly reports.
Cyrus' Studio City home was broken into on Friday afternoon, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed. Luckily no one was home at the time, but sources told the magazine that "a lot of personal items were stolen."
The show (and the party) must go on, however, as Cyrus is still set to perform at the American Music Awards Sunday night in Los Angeles, which she will follow up with a birthday celebration at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, according to E! News.
