Taylor Kitsch is set to star as real-life Wall Streeter turned criminal Stephen Trantel, the title role in "The Long Island Bank Robber," according to Deadline.

The "Lone Survivor" star will be joined by Alexandra Daddario as Trantel’s in-the-dark wife and Christopher Walken as Trantel’s dad, a retired New York City cop.

A Wall Street commodities trader living in Rockville Centre, Trantel was arrested in 2003 on suspicion of robbing 10 banks, including several Fleet branches on the South Shore, according to CBS News. Though described as a faithful husband and attentive father who coached Little League and joined Habitat for Humanity, Trantel had reportedly lost his spot on the trading floor and turned to a life of crime to support his family’s upscale existence, according to U.K.’s Mirror.

Matthew Gentile, will direct the film from his own screenplay, called "The Long Island Bank Robber" a story that will explore "complex themes of grief, survival, and marriage," according to Deadline. Filming is set to begin this month in New Jersey.
