THE DEAL The star of Woody Allen's "To Rome With Love" is already gearing up to shoot his next film with the director this month in New York and San Francisco, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As always, no plot details are being released, but the unusual cast includes the comedians Louis C.K. and Andrew Dice Clay, along with such serious actors as Cate Blanchett, Sally Hawkins and Peter Sarsgaard. The studio, Focus Features, plans to begin shopping the film at the Toronto International Film Festival next month. "To Rome With Love" has been a solid performer for Allen, earning $15 million domestically and $27 million worldwide.
THE MOVIE "Teddy Bear"
THE DEAL This Danish film-festival favorite tells the story of Dennis (Kim Kold), a 38-year-old bodybuilder whose massive physique is no help when it comes to getting a girlfriend or escaping from his emotionally manipulative mother. The movie already screened at the Museum of Modern Art's New Directors / New Films festival and won a directing award at Sundance; it screens next week as the wrap-up selection of this season's Furman Film Series. It's also a sneak-peek ahead of the movie's Wednesday release in Manhattan.

THE MOVIE "Impresarios and Visionaries"
THE DEAL Huntington-based filmmaker Steven Taub will be interviewing local residents this weekend for his in-progress documentary about two driving forces in Long Island culture: Vic Skolnick, co-founder of the Cinema Arts Centre, and Michael Rothbard, co-founder of the performance space Inter-Media Art Center (now the site of the Paramount). Taub is looking for "sentiments, stories and thoughts" from "impassioned patrons" of the two venues, according to an email from Cinema Arts.
