WHO Mr. T

THE MOVIE "The A-Team"

THE DEAL The snarling star of the 1980s television series has given the upcoming movie adaptation a thumbs-down, according to the news service WENN. "People die in the film, and there's plenty of sex, but when we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment," said the actor, who originated the role of B.A. Baracus and reportedly turned down an offer to make a cameo in the movie. "It was too graphic for me. I've no doubt it will do big business at the box office, but it's nothing like the show we turned out every week."

THE MOVIE "Knight and Day"

THE DEAL The wait for this long-delayed action comedy starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz just got shorter. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the release date has been moved up by two days, to Wednesday, June 23. The move gives 20th Century Fox a jump on the weekend box office, but it also aims to position the film as a must-see for summer. Midweek releases are usually reserved for "event" movies like "Independence Day" or the "Twilight" sequels.

THE MOVIE "Gone With the Wind"

THE DEAL Olivia de Havilland, Martin Scorsese and Philip Lopate are among those who have praised Molly Haskell's book "Frankly, My Dear," which details the making of the 1939 Civil War classic. Haskell, a legendary film critic (and wife of another critic, Andrew Sarris), will speak after a screening.
