THE DEAL The star of "The Master," an acclaimed drama that's already becoming an early awards contender, is set to direct his own film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The script, which made the 2011 Black List of buzzworthy screenplays, is about a small Nebraska town visited by a mysterious stranger who can speak with the dead. It would be Hoffman's second time in the director's chair, following his 2010 drama, "Jack Goes Boating."

THE MOVIE "Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live In Budapest '86"

THE DEAL This concert film captures Queen on its last tour with its flamboyant front man, Freddie Mercury, who would have turned 66 this month (he died in 1991 of AIDS-related complications). The show, at the 80,000-seat Népstadion, includes favorites like "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," "We Are the Champions" and the band's enduring rock-radio favorite, "Bohemian Rhapsody." Screenings at select theaters around the country will be preceded by a 25-minute documentary featuring interviews and archival footage.

THE DEAL A documentary on Egon Schiele's famous painting of his mistress Walburga "Wally" Neuzil, which helped bring issues of Nazi art theft into the open and forced museums in Europe and the United States to re-examine their holdings. Next week's screening, as part of the Port Jefferson Documentary Series, will feature guest speaker Fred Gross, a Holocaust survivor and author.
