Movie buzz: Shrek forever helpful; 'Holy Land Hardball'
THE MOVIE "Shrek Forever After"
THE DEAL The Autism Society and AMC Entertainment will screen the new animated film this weekend, but don't expect to see the usual "Silence is golden" warning beforehand. To accommodate children with autism or other special needs, the Stony Brook 17 multiplex - along with other AMC theaters in New York and New Jersey - will allow viewers to talk, sing, run around and otherwise enjoy themselves. Outside snacks are allowed; there will be no previews; lights will be kept on and the sound will be lower than usual.
INFO Saturday at 10 a.m. at Stony Brook 17, 2196 Nesconset Hwy. Tickets are $6. For information on other upcoming films, visit autism-society.org.

Former major-leaguers, including pitcher Ken Holtzman and ex-Met Art Shamsky, play crucial roles. The Great Neck Arts Center will present a screening with the filmmakers next week.

THE MOVIE "Sparrows" starring Mary Pickford
THE DEAL This 1926 silent movie is considered by many to be Pickford's finest work, despite its grim plot. At an orphanage hidden deep in a swamp, she plays the eldest child who must rescue the others when their cruel master decides one of them will be killed. As always, with live musical accompaniment.
INFO Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Cinema Arts Centre, 423 Park Ave., Huntington. Tickets are $9 for members, $13 for nonmembers. Info, 631-423-3456 or cinemaartscentre.org.
