"Top Gun: Maverick," this year's sequel to the 1986 Navy action classic "Top Gun," will fly again.

Paramount Pictures said Tuesday that the movie, which earned more than $1.48 billion since its initial release on Memorial Day weekend, hits theaters again for a limited run from Dec. 2 to 15. Tickets are available at TopGunMovie.com, at participating exhibitors’ websites and mobile apps, and at participating theater box offices.

Tom Cruise reprised his role as Capt. Pete “Maverick" Mitchell, now tasked to lead a cadre of elite military flight-school graduates on a treacherous mission. Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly and Jon Hamm also star. “ 'Top Gun: Maverick' truly epitomizes the magic of the moviegoing experience, and we wanted to provide fans the opportunity to once again enjoy this cinematic spectacle as it was meant to be seen,” said Paramount distribution chief Chris Aronson in a statement. “This feels like the perfect time to bring 'Top Gun: Maverick' back to theaters so audiences everywhere can once again experience how special this film is.”
