Will Ferrell has confirmed that a planned cameo by Mariah Carey in his new film “The House” was cut following the singer’s on-set behavior.
During an appearance on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” the actor confirmed that Carey showed up four hours late and said she didn’t want to do the scene. “Even though it was totally approved ahead of time,” Ferrell noted.
Carey, who was set to perform one of her songs, also requested to change the song at the last minute, which Ferrell explained was an issue because the production didn’t have “clearance,” or approval, to use the new tune.
Besides discussing issues with the scene, Ferrell also talked about Carey's on-set demands, revealing that the Greenlawn-raised singer requested to have stuffed lambs in her trailer for her fans, who she refers to as “lambs.”
Ferrell said at 11 p.m. he was told to go home, and the scene never happened.
Carey has yet to respond to Ferrell’s comments.
