He's seen the lights go out on Broadway and he'll see the lights go up in Madison Square Garden for a 90th straight time. Billy Joel extends his monthly residency with a newly announced show on April 22.
General-public tickets at Ticketmaster.com are scheduled to go on sale Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. Unlike with the recent Taylor Swift debacle, the online-ticketing monolith offers no Verified Fan option for this show, which marks the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer's 136th at the Garden overall. His concert Wednesday is sold out, as are Dec. 19 and Jan. 13; tickets remain for the Feb. 14 and March 26 shows.
Joel, 73, also recently added a Feb. 25 show at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and five dates nationwide alongside fellow music legend Stevie Nicks.
The Hicksville-raised Joel has earned five Grammy Awards plus a Grammy Legend Award and numerous other accolades. He began his unprecedented Garden residency on Jan. 27, 2014.
