Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile will perform at the Montauk Point Lighthouse this summer to help raise money for the local landmark.
The benefit concert will take place July 23. Tickets go on sale Friday at brandicarlile.com or at montaukhistoricalsociety.org.
Carlile appears to be squeezing the show into a quiet period during her current tour, which covers the United States and parts of Europe. Her Montauk date is the only one booked between mid-June and mid-August, according to the singer’s website. In August, she’ll also play the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in upstate New York and the famous Tanglewood-Koussevitzky Music Shed in Lenox, Massachusetts.
An openly gay artist, Carlile, 44, has established herself as a widely recognized musician despite a lack of hit singles. Since releasing her eponymous debut album in 2005, Carlile has seen a number of her discs reach the Top Ten, including 2018’s "By the Way, I Forgive You" and last year’s "Returning to Myself." She is an 11-time Grammy winner who also earned a best original song Oscar nomination for "Never Too Late," a collaboration with Elton John featured in his 2025 documentary "Elton John: Never Too Late." Her memoir "Broken Horses," from 2021, debuted at No. 1 on the nonfiction New York Times Bestseller list.
And while Bad Bunny drew most of the attention for his halftime show at the Super Bowl earlier this year, Carlile was there, too: She performed the pre-kickoff song, "America the Beautiful."
