Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason has canceled all 2025 dates for his "Let It Flow" tour, including a planned August performance at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

The English singer-songwriter and guitarist, 79, developed a severe infection in March related to a medical procedure for a heart condition, and has been dealing with its effects ever since, according to a Tuesday news release.

"With deep regret, I must cancel all tour dates for 2025 due to ongoing health issues stemming from the infection I had in March," Mason said in a statement. "Recovery is a long road. My love for you all runs deep."

Health struggles for Mason, best known as a former member of the rock band Traffic, began in September when doctors discovered his heart condition during a routine checkup, leading him to postpone his fall 2024 concerts. He had hoped to recover and return to the stage for his spring and summer dates, but has nixed the possibility.

The cancellation follows a period of creative output for Mason. In March, he released "A Shade of Blues," his 21st studio album. Last year, he published a memoir, "Only You Know and I Know," which shares the stories behind his music and life. The book is named after Mason’s 1970 Top 40 hit of the same name.

Mason recently performed on Long Island, opening for The Beach Boys in August at Wantagh's Northwell at Jones Beach Theater and as a headliner on the first day of the 2023 Great South Bay Music Festival in Patchogue's Shorefront Park.

Fans with tickets to the canceled shows, including the Patchogue stop, will receive automatic refunds at the point of purchase.

Mason rose to fame in the late 1960s with the song "Feelin’ Alright?," which first appeared on Traffic's self-titled 1968 album and became a rock staple later famously covered by Joe Cocker. He and his former Traffic bandmates Jim Capaldi, Steve Winwood and Chris Wood were inducted into the Rock Hall in 2004.

Mason’s announcement comes shortly after Billy Joel, 76, canceled all tour dates through July 2026 after being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus, a brain condition that can affect memory and mobility, among other symptoms. Meanwhile, Rod Stewart, 80, pulled out of his Las Vegas residency show last weekend a few hours before he was due to be onstage, telling fans. "I'm not feeling well."
