Fleetwood Mac extends tour, sets Nassau Coliseum stop

Fleetwood Mac will continue “On With the Show.”

The tour, their first with all five “Rumours”-era members since 1997, will extend into next year, including a stop at Nassau Coliseum on Jan. 25 and a return to Madison Square Garden on Jan. 22. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers played excellent shows at The Garden Monday and Tuesday and announced the new leg of the tour on the “Today” show Thursday morning, after a string of performances on Rockefeller Plaza.

“More, more, more,” drummer Mick Fleetwood said.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 20 through Live Nation. American Express cardholders can buy pre-sale tickets starting at 10 a.m. Monday.

“Fleetwood Mac is a band that continues to evolve, continues to prevail through good times and through adversity,” guitarist Lindsey Buckingham said onstage Monday night. “With the return of the beautiful Christine McVie, this begins a beautiful, profound and a new chapter for this band – one that will last a long, long time and will be very fruitful.”
