The temperatures are getting hotter, but the jazz is shaping up to be cooler than ever at this year's Hamptons Jazz Fest, which will begin on June 3.

The second annual edition of the jazz festival will consist of more than 30 concerts starting with a show by the Noah Preminger Quartet at the Southampton Arts Center on June 3 at 7 p.m. The highlight of the season is sure to be the concert by trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, who'll perform with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra on July 2 at 7 p.m., also at the Southampton Arts Center.

The remaining shows will take place between July 1 and Sept. 10 throughout SAC and five additional venues: The Church in Sag Harbor, Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, Gosman's Dock in Montauk, Hampton Library in Bridgehampton and LTV Media Center in Wainscott. The Michael Wolff Quartet, pianist Bill O'Connell, the Claire Daly Quartet and Bakithi Kumalo are among the notable performers on the lineup.

Most concerts are free. For the complete schedule and more information, go to hamptonsjazzfest.org.
