James Taylor returns to Jones Beach this summer

Singer-songwriter James Taylor returns to one of his regular haunts, the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, on Aug. 31 as part of his “An Evening with James Taylor and His All-Star Band.”
General-public tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at livenation.com.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, 75, last played Jones Beach on Sept. 3, 2023, and also shared a bill with fellow Rock Hall inductee Jackson Browne on Aug. 27, 2021. The latter date was makeup for a July 8, 2020, show postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Taylor's string of hits throughout his more than 50-year career include “Fire and Rain,” “Handy Man,” “Mexico,” “Carolina in My Mind,” “Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight” and Carole King’s “You've Got a Friend.” His 2020 album of Great American Songbook classics, “American Standard,” earned him his sixth Grammy Award.
