Call the doctor, because Bieber Fever is spreading to a new medium.

The teen pop sensation debuts today in "Fame: Justin Bieber,” a biographical comic book that follows the Canadian from his YouTube beginnings to his first headlining tour. And, yes, that near-riot at Roosevelt Field last fall is included in its 32 pages.

But the Beeb isn’t the first celebrity to appear in publisher Bluewater Productions’ “Fame” series – and he won’t be the last. Lady Gaga got the comics treatment in May, and volume 2 hits shelves next month. And it’s not just pop stars who are being immortalized. Soccer hunk David Beckham has already seen his story in print and NASCAR cutie Danica Patrick’s life will be unveiled in December.

“This is a great medium for kids as well as adults,” Bluewater president Darren G. Davis said in a statement. “I had a hard time reading as a kid and comic books really improved my reading skills. One of the goals is trying to get kids away from the video games and reading more.”
