Welcome to a somber Grammy night. We're live-blogging the big show. We'll also be marking the remembrances of the late Whitney Houston. Feel free to leave questions or comments in the comments section below or Tweet them to us @ndmusic.

Here we go:

8 p.m. -- Ladies and gentlemen, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band! "We Take Care of Our Own" sounds great. Missing the Big Man.

8:05 p.m. -- "There is no way around this," says Grammy host and Bay Shore native LL Cool J. "We've had a death in our family."

8:09 p.m. -- "Adele, welcome back"...and yes, we are eager to hear that beautiful voice of yours. OG Paul McCartney? That's pretty funny, LL.

8:11 p.m. -- You go, Bruno Mars. "Tonight we celebrate music," he says. "Tonight we celebrate Ms. Whitney Houston. So get off your rich ..."

8:24 p.m. -- "Someone Like You"...best pop solo performance...Adele! That's three awards so far tonight.

8:27 p.m. -- What is better Chris Brown's dance moves or  his singing? "Turn Up the Music" and turn up the moves. A giant Rubik's Cube, too?

8:34 p.m. -- The Throne (Jay-Z and Kanye West)! Best rap performance! duh...

8:39 p.m. -- Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson tearing it up on "Don't You Wanna Stay" right now. Country! What happened to your mike, Jason?

8:47 p.m. -- Get me a rope! Just kidding. The Foo Fighters are "learning to walk again" on "Walk." Dave Grohl and the group has already  taken home four awards so far -- including best hard rock/metal performance and best rock song...

8:57 p.m. -- Riri and Coldplay. What a matchup. Get your hands in the air! "We Found Love" with Chris Martin ... here come da boys in Coldplay.

9:01 p.m. -- Too bad their pal Jay-Z couldn't be here for this.

9:06 p.m. -- Up next: Maroon 5 and Foster the People team up with a reunited Beach Boys. Woo-hoo!

9:12 p.m. -- Foos win again for best rock performance. What are Abby from "NCIS" and the Giants doing there?! We're not complaining. No salsa from Victor Cruz, huh? [Editor's note: Upon watching the Grammy replay, we see he did do a little salsa. This is what you get for having the TV behind you. Apologies.]

9:16 p.m. -- Moves like...Brian Wilson?!

9:19 p.m. -- Aww, soft spot for "Wouldn't It Be Nice" -- and check out the striped shirts on Foster the People. Double aww!

9:21 p.m. -- 50th anniversary?! Sing it, Beach Boys, er, Beach Men! We need some "Good Vibrations" at a time like this.

9:32 p.m. -- Sir Paul McCartney a few moments after Brian Wilson? This is something.

9:36 p.m. -- Best R&B album...Chris Brown's "F.A.M.E."

9:50 p.m. -- Song of the year? Already? Well, well Adele! "Rolling in the Deep" takes it.

10:06 p.m. -- WOW! Sing it, Adele! You just might have it all tonight.

10:08 p.m. -- "Rolling in the Deep" sounded great, no?

10:17 p.m. -- Another "awww" moment. The Glen Campbell tribute ... here's the "Rhinestone Cowboy" himself!

10:23 p.m. -- Standing O for Mr. Campbell -- as it should be.

10:30 p.m. -- Best new artist award coming soon...
