When The Beatles first landed in America in 1964, its management thought it would be a good idea to hire a photographer to follow them around.

Curt Gunther was that photographer. In a new exhibit that runs at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in SoHo through July, photos Gunther took on that tour will be shown for the first time, after the negatives were restored by his son, Steve. The photos offer a rare look at The Beatles in unguarded moments and still relatively unfazed by Beatlemania.
