Toby Keith tops Forbes list of higher-earning country-music stars

Toby Keith is America's highest-earning country-music star, Forbes magazine said Tuesday, estimating his earnings over the past year to be $65 million. Noting he's invested in ventures as diverse as restaurants, Wild Shot Mezcal liquor and a record label, as well doing endorsements for Ford, the magazine said he earned more than fellow music moguls Diddy and Jay Z. Taylor Swift came in second with $64 million, including money from Diet Coke, Keds and Cover Girl endorsements. Kenny Chesney was No. 3 at $44 million, followed by Jason Aldean with $37 million and Luke Bryan with $34 million.
