Watch: One Direction's new 'Live While We're Young' video
Um, this will probably break the Internets this afternoon.
Yes, here are the lads of One Direction in their new video "Live While We're Young," which kind of looks like a Target commercial as they cavort in a swimming pool and roll around in those huge plastic balls that used to be the domain of only Peter Gabriel and the Flaming Lips.
"Live While We're Young" is a slightly edgier song, both in sound, as it sort of appropriates the opening riffs of The Clash's "Should I Stay Or Should I Go," and in tone, as they declare in unison, "Tonight let's get some! And live while we're young." Uh, parents, start coming with explanations of what that means now, because this will definitely be even more omnipresent than the band's first two hits combined.
The video arrives four days early (the single will be available on Oct. 1) because of a leak yesterday. "We wanted our fans to see the video and hear the single in the proper way so we've moved the premiere to tonight," the group said in a statement. "We're really excited about 'Live While We’re Young,' we've worked really hard on it and we can't wait for everyone to see and hear it later today!"
