Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, will be dancing her little heart out on "Dancing With the Stars," according to E! News.
Joining her, reported the entertainment-news channel, would be the rumored David Hasselhoff, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino from MTV's "Jersey Shore," the network's "The Hills" star Audrina Patridge and singer Brandy. E! had no word on RadarOnline.com's report about singer Michael Bolton.
Sarah Palin plans to be in the show's audience to support her daughter, according to AOL's PopEater.com, which said ABC sources had confirmed Bristol Palin's signing on.
"Bristol is excited and scared and hopes she gets Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her partner," the source said, referring to the dancer paired with sportscaster Erin Andrews last season.
The younger Palin appeared last month on an episode of the ABC Family drama series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager."
As for the equally rumored-of Kirstie Alley, the former "Cheers" star Tweeted Thursday that her participation was, in fact, "Just a rumor. . . . Imagine that. NOT doing DWTS this season . . . Way too chicken! Maybe next season if Im invited again!!!"
COMING CLEAN.Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's grandson, says he wishes he hadn't apologized for telling lies about the former Alaska governor because he's "never lied about anything." Johnston said in an interview on CBS' "The Early Show" airing Friday: "The only thing I wish I wouldn't have done is put out that apology 'cause it kind of makes me sound like a liar. And I've never lied about anything. So that's probably the only thing. The rest of the stuff I can live with."
