Though Selena Gomez starred in a “Funny or Die” online parody of the book “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the 19-year-old does not plan to act in the rumored upcoming film adaptation of the racy novel.

The video, posted by the prankster website in May, was called “Fifty Shades of Blue” and featured Gomez as the main character, falling for her handyman.

But when asked if she would consider working on an actual film version of the E.L. James book, Gomez told MTV she didn't think the role was for her.

“That would be a little too much for me,” she told MTV. “I think someone older should do that part.”

Bieber's gal pal added that she only read the beginning of the popular book when she was enlisted for the online skit.

“So I started to read it, and I was like, 'Oh, this is spicy.' So I thought it was good, it was intriguing,” she said. “Obviously, it's working, so the skit was really funny.”

So if Gomez is out, who should play Ana Steele in the rumored movie?
