Three-time Tony Award-nominee Laura Linney and Tony-winner Cynthia Nixon will alternate roles next year in a new Broadway production of Lillian Hellman’s “The Little Foxes.”

The Manhattan Theatre Club said its production of the 1939 classic about an Alabama family torn over greed and ambition will begin previews March 29, 2017, at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater and open April 19.

Nixon, 50, and Linney, 52, will alternately play the roles of Regina Giddens and her sister-in-law Birdie under director Daniel Sullivan (“Proof,” “Rabbit Hole”).
