Daniel Craig is getting ready to go from 007 to "Double, double toil and trouble."

The big screen's current James Bond will play the title role in a 15-week run of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" on Broadway that will begin previews at the Lyceum Theatre on March 29 and open on April 28. "Macbeth" will mark Craig's first time on Broadway since co-starring with Hugh Jackman in the drama "A Steady Rain" in 2009.

In addition to Craig, Ruth Negga, who earned a best actress Oscar nomination for the 2016 drama "Loving," will play opposite him as the venomous Lady Macbeth.

"I am beyond thrilled to be participating in this historic season as theatre reemerges, and to be working with two such masterful actors on one of dramatic literature’s most challenging and epic dramas," said Sam Gold, who will direct the play. "I can’t wait to get started!"

Tickets for "Macbeth" will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Oct. 8 at telecharge.com.
