'Rebecca: The Musical' producers in clearThe producers of beleaguered "Rebecca: The Musical" will not have to worry about the Securities and Exchange Commission while trying to raise $5 million for their projected $16 million Broadway show, Newsday's Linda Winer reports. In a letter Monday to the lawyer for producers Ben Sprecher and Louise Forlenza, the SEC said that its fraud investigation against them had been completed and that it would not be coming after them with legal action. "Rebecca," based on Daphne du Maurier's classic suspense novel, was derailed last fall by a thriller's worth of intrigue involving outside investors.
