"American Idol": Curtis Finch Jr. is the third boy to make it to the final 10. He sings his victory song, John Legend's "So High." (March 7, 2013) Credit: Fox

Next guy through to the Top 10: Curtis Finch Jr., with tears in his eyes. John Legend's "So High" was a perfect victory song, and a perfect fit for Finch.

"You pulled out another bag right there," Randy Jackson says. "So happy."

Devin Velez makes it up next, and seems shocked. I'm not, after the judges praised his performance last night so hghly.

He again proved himself with a soulful and funky rendition of Israel Houghton's "Power of One."

And the final spot goes to Lazaro Arbos. Phew. But that means Charlie Askew, a front-runner until last night, is out.

Before taking the stage, Arbos asks Ryan Seacrest if he can talk to the sound guys, telling them he doesn't know the last note in the song and asking that they follow him on it. That's one thing we haven't seen before. Arbos just may be ready to become a pop star -- he already thinks like one!

And his rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's "Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water" goes off without a hitch -- even that last note.
