Bartender/waitress Alanna Snare, who's got an all-country vibe, is singing Dolly Parton's "Jolene" on "American Idol." Odd, she has a melodic speaking voice and a good vibe, but can't really sing.

Minnesotan Shelby Tweten, who says she's always suffered from depression and was recently diagnosed as bipolar, says "'American Idol' has given her a reason to "stay on my meds."

She's pretty emotional and says singing is so important to her and keeps her going. She sings "Temporary Home" and is just fantastic -- she's got a compelling voice, lots of emotion, nothing artificial. May be my favorite of the season so far.

"Beautiful, so pretty," says Jennifer Lopez, with Randy Jackson adding "you're fearless as a singer." Yeah, I can't wait to hear more from her.
