CW renews 'Vampire Diaries' (of course, you knew it would)

Here's your faithful "for the record" post of the day: So, for the record ... the CW has renewed "90210," "Supernatural" and ..."The Vampire Diaries." The renewals were expected. In the case of "Diaries," possibly even more expected than the rising of the sun this morning. It is the CW's most buzzworthy hit, after all. "Supernatural," which heads into an eighth season, is maybe a tiny surprise, but it too has a legion of ferociously faithful fans. "90210?" This is unkillable, I suppose. "Ringer," "Nikita" and "Gossip Girl?" No word on this trio yet.
