Emily Anne Reed's 'old-timey voice' sucks us in on 'American Idol'

Emily Anne Reed shows up late in the day on "American Idol" as Steven Tyler says, "God, please be good."

Wow. She has a great manner to her and interesting speaking voice, very likable for some reason. Jeez, her house just burned down. She's crying as she's talking about it and we actually care.

Totally connects with the audience, singing "You're Getting to be a Habit with Me." Sings in almost a little-girl voice. The "most interesting voice we've heard," says Jennifer Lopez.

"Liked your old-timey voice," says Steven Tyler, but adds he doesn't think she's ready. Give her a chance!

Randy Jackson does, and of course J.Lo agrees as well.

She's so purely happy, then Tyler asks her to play guitar for him afterward, and joins her fan club. She might be the most interesting person this year. I can't wait to see what she does next!
