To mark America's 250th anniversary on July 4, Fox News Channel's morning show "Fox & Friends" will air a special weekend edition from Bethpage's Embassy Diner, the self-proclaimed "America's most patriotic diner."

Owner Gus Tsiorvas, 46, of Wantagh, said the diner was selected for its patriotic decorations and festive spirit.

"If you come to the diner now, it's all decked out for you," said Tsiorvas. "It's all in American flags all over the place, inside and out."

Tsirovas said he is honored to have "Fox & Friends" celebrate America's birthday at his diner.

"We are America's most patriotic diner," he said. "And Fox decided to do it here. That just shows that all over the country, they had a choice and they chose here."

Broadcasting live from 6 to 10 a.m., "Fox & Friends First" cohost Carley Shimkus will interview diner patrons celebrating Independence Day. Tsiorvas said he expects  a huge crowd.

"I want it to be one big, huge party because I want everyone to celebrate America together," he said.

Although the Embassy may be known for its patriotic decor, Tsiorvas said he takes the most pride in the diner's service.

"Anybody can serve you a cheeseburger right?" he said. "It's the atmosphere and the service that you serve with it. You have to be different from everybody else. And I feel like the atmosphere makes people happy."

His family plays a significant role in the diner's appearance.

"I'm very patriotic," said Tsiorvas, who in April 2022 bought the diner George Maliangos founded in 1962. "All of my siblings are first responders, we are a first responder diner. ."

As one of America's milestones approaches, Tsiorvas said he hopes his diner can be the place where people come together even when times are rough.

"I love my country and I say this all the time," he said. "The one thing that should unite all of us together is the love of our country and I believe that. There's so many things that divide us nowadays, that the love of our country should be the one thing that unites us always."

The Fox morning show also aired a live segment from the diner in April 2025 that featured numerous politicians and law-enforcement personnel.
