"Girls," HBO's much-praised and Emmy-nominated new comedy about a Brooklyn-based female pod of over-under-achievers, will be back in January 2013, HBO just announced during the press tour. Also "Enlightened" - HBO's much-less-praised Laura Dern sorta-comedy - will be back then too.

Also: HBO has contracted with Larry David for a movie - yes, a MOVIE! Larry David! A movie! I can't help adding all those "!!!" because we are talking about Larry David !!! after all. No word on the subject, but it ain't gonna be a big screen "Curb." (Not to be confused, by the way, with Larry Charles big-screen "Pierre Pierre," also in the works though not for HBO.)

On that subject, network toppers are telling critics at this very moment that LD has yet to make his mind up on a future season but of course, if he wants to, HBO is all arms and kisses...

Finally, a Rolling Stone doc is coming up. Well jeez, I should hope so. It's only been fifty years after all. What's keeping 'em?
