Hoda Kotb is coming back to the "Today" show — for one day only.

Kotb will reunite with her former co-anchor Jenna Bush Hager on Wednesday's episode of "Today with Jenna & Friends" at 10 a.m. on Ch.4.

On Tuesday's show, Bush Hager announced that Kotb would be her surprise guest co-host on Wednesday after previously hinting that the person was "a former basketball star-turned-bestselling author."

(According to USA Today, Kotb lettered in basketball in high school. She has written several books, including "I Really Needed This Today," "I've Loved You Since Forever" and "This Just Speaks to Me.")

Earlier Wednesday, Kotb will be on during the first two hours of "Today" to discuss her new wellness project.

"It’s been too long!" "Today" co-host Savannah Guthrie said on Tuesday. She described Kotb's appearance as her "triumphant return."

Kotb announced her departure from "Today" in September and her last day as co-host of "Today with Hoda & Jenna" was Jan. 10. On her final show, her tears flowed as colleagues Bush Hager, Guthrie, Carson Daly, Al Roker and Craig Melvin heaped praise on her throughout the broadcast. In return, she said tearfully. "Can I just say thank you?" "I haven’t been able to articulate it, because I’m a mess most times, but I just want to say thanks."
