‘Homeland’ season 6 trailer released -- is Quinn back?

Showtime Friday released a particularly long (2:45) and detailed season six trailer for “Homeland,” arriving Jan. 15 (and, as you know, set in New York).

Meanwhile, here’s the logline, per Showtime:

“After she thwarted a terrorist attack in Berlin, season six picks up several months later and finds Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) living in Brooklyn. She has begun working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the U.S. Season six will tackle the after-effects of the U.S. presidential election, with the entire season taking place between election day and the inauguration. It’s a strange, transitional time in the halls of government filled with anxiety and different competing interests, where a very fragile and complex transfer of power takes place between the outgoing president and the incoming president-elect.”

Now quickly, to some obvious points from the trailer:

• No Quinn (Rupert Friend). That’s right. Nearly three minutes long and nary a glimpse of Quinn in this trailer. What are we to make of this -- or that? Nothing! Quinn will be back. This is called a “tease,” not a giveaway. By the way, the last few seconds will provide, perhaps, some solace to fans.
• Elizabeth Marvel is in the house. Marvel is just the latest actor of the first rank to come this way -- she plays the incoming president, Elizabeth Keane, with (evidently) malice in her heart, or at least malice for the CIA. Your (umm) friend and mine, Dar Adal (F.Murray Abraham) looks concerned here -- or maybe just concerned about where the next paycheck will be coming from. Marvel is mostly a shining star of the New York stage, but you know her most recently from “House of Cards,” or maybe “Fargo” (I), or “L&O: SVU.”
• Another Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) kidnapping? The trailer suggests that as well, but been there, done that (season 4). Prepare however for a different outcome. I suspect this is a head fake.
• Someone named “Sekou Nah” is busted for “terrorist-related” activities. He’s played by J. Mallory McCree of “Quantico.”
• Dominic Fumusa is in the house, too. He plays Ray Conlin, a special agent with the FBI who has a rough bedside manner. “Nurse Jackie” fans recall him, of course, as Jackie’s ex, Kevin.
