Is the 'Idol' journey over for Hollie Cavanagh or Elise Testone?

Is one of the girls getting booted off of “American Idol” tonight? It sure looks that way if our “Idol” experts are correct—six people believe its “Cheerio” for Brit-born Hollie Cavanagh, while three others says please release Elise Testone.

Hollie seemed doomed last night when the first words out of Jennifer Lopez's mouth after the 18-year-old’s less-than-perfect performance of Pink’s “Perfect” were “You look beautiful.” When J.Lo finished her critique with “we’ll see how it all pans out,” she might as well have offered to drive Hollie to the airport for her flight home.

Elise had the advantage of getting the pimp spot last night. She sang Lady Gaga’s “You and I,” a number Haley Reinhart nailed last season. Even though the judges went Gaga for Elise, not only was she the bottom pick for three of our “Idol” psychics, but three others had her in their bottom three.

In fact, the only one of the top 7 who seems perfectly safe, if our panel is correct, is Jessica Sanchez: No one picked her as one of this week’s lowest three vote getters. So don’t be surprised if Ryan Seacrest does his annual top 7 shtick tonight of creating two groups (one with the bottom 3, another with a safe trio), then telling Jessica she’s safe and to go stand with the threesome she believe is also safe. And if history, repeats itself, she’ll say no and plop herself on the floor.
